One of the fastest growing industries on the market today is video games. Another interest that is gaining more and more popularity with each passing day is blogs. Now, if we were to combine the two, we would be on the fast track to blogger heaven.
When you are writing a blog about video games, you want to make sure you are writing about something for everyone. Remember you want to draw in readers who are there for the blog as well as the readers who are there just to read about video games. Be sure to cover all of the genres. There are many different types of video games out there today. Not only are there the different platforms like PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo, there are different types of games available for each system.
Some people will enjoy reading about multi-member online games such as Dungeons & Dragons online and World of Warcraft. These people already spend most of their time on the computer. I can tell you from experience that servers do go down and you are left sitting there in front of your computer wondering want to do with yourself. This is when the player will find your blog, when they are in need a gaming fix, but cannot get to their game of choice.
Another thing to keep in mind is length. Try not to ramble on and on for five or six hundred words. People who play video games tend to be fast thinkers, so keep your blogs down around two or three hundred words. Write about the main points of your ideas, instead of giving a detailed description of your every thought.
